Stan Lee is the new Auguste Rodin

I went to a show at the MoMA in San Francisco not so long ago of HenrĂ Matisse sculpture. Matisse's imperfect sculptures were placed next to the original, more pristine sculptures of Rodin, and the comparison made Matisse's work even more interesting, in a real wabi sabi sort of way.

Well, at gallery 1988 in Los Angeles, there's a new kick-ass show of various artists interpreting the works of Stan Lee. It's kind of the best thing I've seen this year. All seventeen days of it, but still.
